Amidst peaceful surroundings, situated in the hills and surrounded by 250 acres of eye-catching greenery, is an old family palace belonging to the Thampi royal family, which has been converted into a reputed Ayurvedic Resort and Retreat. The resort is certified as a Green Leaf resort by the Kerala Government, which is the highest rating given to Ayurvedic resorts.

Stuart will be returning to this delightful resort with a group of 20 and the trip is open to everyone, whether they are interested in learning meditation or developing a meditation practice, whilst combining this with some R&R, Ayurvedic treatments or yoga (optional).
The trip leaves London on a Saturday and returns on a Sunday however, extensions to the trip, either at Chamundi Hills or for example, at the beach in Kerala, can be made.
Both introductory and advanced meditation classes will be offered daily as part of the programme, together with daily meditation sessions. There will be advanced classes in breathing, healing meditations, walking meditation and loving kindness meditation. Subject to availability and time, the option of a first level Reiki course and treatments may be available, although these will be extra to the programme.
The Ayurveda Centre at the resort offers a full range of rejuvenation and healing programmes and included as part of the programme are two daily Ayurvedic treatments. Two daily yoga classes, for those that wish, are also included.
The resort is well renowned for its scenic beauty, calmness and cool and comfortable climate, as well as its very friendly and welcoming staff. Lush rubber plantations and thick foliage surround the resort and all around is peaceful and pleasing on the eye. It is a marvellous place to learn or develop a meditation practice and a lovely place to relax. The Ayurvedic treatments and massages will help you to recharge and rejuvenate and the wonderful Kerala cuisine will round all of this off very nicely. This is the resort chosen by the Prince of Wales Foundation for its Ayurvedic study tour.
The accommodation is in comfortable, very spacious and private rooms (ensuite), some with balconies. The restaurant serves delicious native delicacies and during the treatment period, the multi cuisine restaurant provides special Ayurvedic diets, as desired. The restaurant makes full use of organically homegrown vegetables, spices and herbs.
Optional extras include - cultural programmes, traditional Kerala cooking class, visit to the local town and shops, plantation visit, rubber processing demonstrations, elephant rides, night trekking, jungle safari, boat rides and bamboo rafting. Other facilities include telephone, safety deposit, mail and message handling, doctor on call, money exchange, room service and laundry.
The cost of the trip is £495 and includes return airport transfers, full board accommodation (twin share basis - single supplements are available), all meditation classes and practice sessions, two daily Ayurvedic sessions and two daily yoga classes. Please note that flights are not included however, direct flights are available through Jet Air (a reliable, comfortable national airline) from £526 return, for the flight times indicated below.
